Tick a box when you upload

Attach a drawing, spec, RAMS or safety notice anywhere in DuoApp - to a project, a block, a level, a plot or a single task - and mark it Required to View.

Everyone affected is told straight away

DuoApp works out who is assigned to the outstanding work underneath that document and notifies them automatically. No chasing, no group emails, no “did you get my WhatsApp?”.

They can't complete until they've opened it

Try to mark the work complete without opening the document and DuoApp stops you, showing exactly what's still to read. Once viewed, the task carries on as normal.

If the document changes, the clock resets

Upload a new version and everyone affected is notified again - and the task locks once more until they've viewed the latest. Nobody finishes a job against a superseded drawing.

How it works in practice.

What happens if someone tries to finish a task without reading the document?
DuoApp blocks the completion and shows them exactly which documents are still outstanding, with a tap to open each one. As soon as they have viewed it the task unlocks and they carry on as normal - there is no approval queue and nobody has to be chased.
Who gets notified when I mark a document Required to View?
Only the people assigned to outstanding work underneath that document. Attach it to a plot and it reaches everyone with open tasks on that plot; attach it to a single task and it is just the people on that task. Notifications stay meaningful because they never go to the whole site.
What happens when a drawing is revised?
Uploading a new version resets the requirement. Everyone affected is notified again and their tasks re-lock until they have opened the latest revision, so work cannot be signed off against a superseded document.
Can I prove who read what, and when?
Yes. Every view is recorded against the person, the document and the version, with a timestamp - and it forms part of the project's audit trail, so it is already there when a client, auditor or insurer asks.

A project, a block, a level, a plot or an individual task. The rule applies to all outstanding work underneath whatever you attach it to.
