How the technology works: GPS satellites locate the vehicle, a DuoApp tracker in the vehicle sends its position over the 4G mobile network into DuoApp. Below, connected to your projects: a van arrives at Riverside Apartments at 07:28, DuoApp detects the site arrival, a team member checks in at the DuoApp site plate at 07:31, the van leaves at 16:42 and DuoApp detects the departure.

When will it be available?
It's in development and we haven't set a date yet. Register your interest and we'll let you know as soon as there's news.
Do I need DuoApp already?
Vehicle tracking is being built into DuoApp, so it connects to the projects you already have in it - that's how site arrivals and departures are recorded automatically. If you don't use DuoApp yet, register anyway and we're happy to show you the rest of DuoApp in the meantime.
Does it track people?
It tracks company vehicles, not staff phones. A tracker fitted in the vehicle reports its position on its own - there's no app for drivers to open and nothing running on anyone's phone. A vehicle is usually driven by someone, though, so its location can still be personal data under UK GDPR; we'll set out exactly how that data is handled before launch.
How is the tracker fitted?
The plan is a choice of self-install, or hardwired for a permanent, tamper-resistant fit with a backup battery. Hardware and installation options are still being finalised.
How much will it cost?
Hardware, installation and pricing are still being finalised, so we can't say yet. Register your interest and we'll tell you as soon as we can.
