Last updated · 04 November 2025 · Version 2.0

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on duoapp.co.uk and the DuoApp app. We use as few cookies as we can get away with.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow sites to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how visitors use the site.

2. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required to deliver the Service. Cannot be disabled.

  • duo_session - keeps you signed in. Expires on logout.
  • duo_csrf - protects against cross-site request forgery. Session-only.
  • duo_consent - remembers your cookie choices. 12 months.

Analytics (optional)

Helps us understand which pages are useful. We use Plausible Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not use third-party cookies. No personal data leaves the UK/EU.

Marketing (optional)

If you've opted in, we use a single first-party cookie to attribute referrals from our affiliate scheme. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

3. Managing cookies

You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer of our website, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Note: disabling strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in.

4. Do Not Track

We respect Do Not Track signals. If your browser is sending one, we'll treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and marketing cookies.

5. Updates

We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be highlighted on our website and dated at the top of this page.
