DuoApp vs SitePro - the site, and the money.

SitePro is a genuinely capable site-operations platform, and the teams using it are usually happy with it. Snagging, RFIs, drawings, toolbox talks, geo-fenced timesheets - it covers the site well. What it does not do is the commercial half of a contract. There is no applications for payment, no CIS, no retention and no invoicing anywhere in it - so that work goes back to spreadsheets. DuoApp runs the site and the money in one system, on a flat £10 per user, per month.

DuoApp vs SitePro, feature by feature.

SitePro covers site operations well. The gap opens in the commercial block in the middle of this table - the workflows that decide when and how you get paid.

Compiled from SitePro's own public material (site-pro.app and its App Store listing) in August 2026. SitePro is a capable product and this page tries to represent it fairly - if anything here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it. SitePro is a trademark of its respective owner; DuoApp is not affiliated with it.

// What it actually costs

Side by side on price.

SitePro charges in bands rather than per user: £120 a month up to 10 users, £240 for 11-25, £480 for 26-50 and £700 for unlimited. DuoApp is a flat £10 per user, per month. That means the answer changes with the size of your team, so here it is in full rather than cherry-picked.

SitePro pricing from its published pricing page, August 2026; both exclude VAT. DuoApp is cheaper at almost every team size up to around 70 users, and SitePro's unlimited band is cheaper above that. Worth weighing against scope: SitePro's price does not include applications for payment, CIS, retention or invoicing, so if you need those you are buying a second system on top.

// The honest version

Where each one is stronger.

No tool wins every category, and SitePro genuinely wins some. Here is the straight version.

DuoApp vs SitePro

UK · Site operations

Where SitePro is strong

  • Deep site-operations coverage - drawing controls, RFIs, blockers, daily diary and delivery/POD tracking
  • Site access control including facial recognition and geo-fenced time tracking, which DuoApp does not offer
  • Health & safety workflows built in, including toolbox talks and vehicle checklists
  • Asset management and handover tooling aimed squarely at principal contractors
  • Built by people from the industry, and priced accessibly with a long free induction period

Where DuoApp wins

  • Applications for payment, CIS deductions, retention and auto-invoicing - none of which SitePro offers
  • A live commercial position on every job - value, claimed, unclaimed, overspend and unapproved subbie claims, at project, block and level
  • Priced works, specific works and sub works, so a contract is billed correctly from the same record the site updates
  • Native apps for macOS and Windows as well as iOS, Android and the browser
  • Expenses, holiday planning, analytics and a full audit trail included at no extra cost
  • Usually cheaper below about 70 users - and that price already includes the commercial workflows
Bottom line: SitePro will run your site well. The question is what happens to the applications, CIS deductions, retention and invoices it does not touch - because that work does not disappear, it goes back into spreadsheets. DuoApp keeps the site running and gets you paid from the same system, so the QA sign-off, the specific works and the invoice are the same record.
// Making the move

What switching actually involves.

Most teams weighing these two are not unhappy with SitePro on site. They are tired of the commercial side living in a spreadsheet that nobody trusts by the end of the month.

The site work carries straight into the money

A specific works item signed off on a phone becomes a line on an application, then an invoice with CIS and retention already applied. Nobody re-keys it, and nothing is missed at valuation.

Offline is not a downgrade

Photos appear the instant you take them, the report PDF is built on the phone itself, and you can email it from site with no signal at all - then it syncs once, without duplicates.

Everyone works where they want to

Site teams on iOS and Android, the commercial team on native Mac or Windows apps, everyone else in a browser. It is the same system, not a phone app with a panel bolted on.

// DuoApp vs SitePro

Questions buyers ask us.

Does SitePro handle CIS, retention or invoicing?
No. SitePro's published feature set covers site operations - snagging, RFIs, drawings, health & safety, timesheets, assets and handovers. Applications for payment, CIS deductions, retention and invoicing are not part of it, so UK contractors using SitePro generally still run those in a spreadsheet or a separate accounts package. In DuoApp they are native. See retention and deductions →
Is SitePro just a mobile app?
No - that is a common assumption but it is not accurate. SitePro ships iOS and Android apps that sync with a cloud admin panel you can reach from a PC, tablet or phone. The real difference is scope rather than platform: SitePro covers site operations, while DuoApp covers site operations plus the commercial workflows. DuoApp does additionally ship native macOS and Windows apps alongside its browser version. See apps and devices →
Is there anything SitePro does that DuoApp does not?
Yes, and it is worth being straight about it. SitePro offers site access control with facial recognition, geo-fenced time tracking, dedicated drawing controls, vehicle checklists and delivery/POD tracking. If those are central to how you run sites, SitePro covers them directly and DuoApp does not. DuoApp's strength is that everything on site connects to how the contract gets billed and paid.
Can we run both?
You can, and some teams do during a transition. The cost is double entry: hours and sign-offs captured in one system have to be re-entered to bill them in the other. Most firms that try it end up consolidating, because the value of a single record is precisely that the valuation matches what actually happened on site.
How does DuoApp compare on offline site inspections?
It matches SitePro on the two behaviours customers most often ask about, and adds a third. Photos appear the instant the shutter closes with no processing pause; the report PDF is generated on the phone itself rather than on a server; and you can email that report from site with no signal at all - your mail app opens with it already attached and queues it until coverage returns. Read how offline QC works →
What does DuoApp cost compared with SitePro?
It depends on team size, and we would rather show you than spin it. SitePro publishes banded pricing - £120/month up to 10 users, £240 for 11-25, £480 for 26-50 and £700 for unlimited. DuoApp is £10 per user, per month. That makes DuoApp cheaper at almost every size up to about 70 users - a 30-person team is £300 with DuoApp against £480 - while SitePro's unlimited band is clearly cheaper for large headcounts. The figures are in the table above. See our pricing →
Which has the better trial?
SitePro's is longer: it advertises a three-month free induction period on request. DuoApp gives you 14 days on the full platform, self-serve, with no card and no sales call. If a long supported run-in matters more to you than starting this afternoon, that is a fair point in SitePro's favour.
